My hair in 2.5 yrs..

So I have been natural for almost 3 yes and today I did an actual length check and trim..i luvvvvvv where my hair is like totally luv it. I will never pick up a box of cream crack again! I can truly say that.. Here are some pics

One Day...

One day I will get super consistent and update my blog 3-4 times a week..I mean I know it has not happened and chances are it won't but a girl can dream right?? Stay tuned for the big entry and all things blog related soon..Not to mention an update on single life,curly hair and good wine!

Because that is how my life has been...My hair has been AWESOME and wait until I show you pics but for now..I won't say which team I am routing for but I will just say Have A BLASTING SUPER BOWL weekend and live it up!! I will be back next week with full updates and reports from great hair to new wine!

Welcome to a New YEAR!!!! 2011

Hey There world!!! Hope everyone had a great New Year...So this year I said I was going to make an effort to shoot out more hair updates..I have actually had lots of questions regarding what products I use and my hair texture all that good..Well my hair is a blend b/w 4a and 4b...One thing I have realized is that the more I straightened my hair the more I lose my curl..so I have decided no more straightening unless truly necessary..So lets get on to my winter regime which so far has been going very well..I have been shampooing and doing a deep condition each week..I have been using my Hair Therapy Wrap which was a great investment. I normally do one good wash very gentle and then I use Suave Almond and Shea Conditioner mixed with some Knot Today or some other type of natural conditioner I have and i leave that on for a good 30 minutes. I always rinse with lukewarm to cool water and I have noticed such a difference since I have started doing this..Once a month I do a hot oil with Jojoba Oil or with a honey and oil mixture..These are important for my hair in the winter..My little mane needs to stay moisturized or I will begin to loose hair and shed bad!!!!
I have been doing braid/twist outs more because not only does it elongate my hair but it gives me sooo much definition!! I normally use my Shea Moisture Conditioning Milk and Olive Oil Eco Styler to style my braid outs..Making sure I have applied a great leave in conditioner..Leave in conditioners are very important again giving your hair the moisture it needs before adding your styling aids..It is super important to know your texture because you don't want to over power your hair..I have A LOT of hair and I have never had an issue with the products weighing my hair down..Okkk folks I have given a lot of info for today so I will be back tomorrow with more..In the meantime I will leave you with some pics of my most recent braid out..I will even post on a wine review I recently tried..It was a little different but I would recommended!

Well I have only been blogging what a year..My goal for 2011 is to definitely be more consistent in the blogging world and throw up some videos as well..Hopefully it will happen..In the meantime wishing you and yours a Great New Years be safe!! I will see ya in 2011!

Family pics

So my brothers were in town this weekend the reason being we were going to do family pics! Well family pics are very difficult with six adults and now that my blood pressure has been risen I vow not to do them again for a few years!!!!! With that group more less!!

Time..

Blogging is sooo time consuming and I have not been doing well with giving my blog it's time. I have not been doing a whole lot of things with my curls because of the winter. I have been sticking to the cute straight look..I have not been rocking the bangs..I have mixed emotions about them but hey it's still been cute..But I miss my curls to death and trust they will be back in about 2 WEEKS! Tutorials will be in full effect!


However in the midst of my straight hair look I have tried a couple of new wines in my life that I shall share..Being that it is now winter, I am all 100% red..Red wines are much more relaxing and calming to me at the end of a hard day or just when wanting to hang with friends.. At the top of my list is as always the Barefoot Brand..This is such an inexpensive but great wine brand..I fell in love with the Moscato and Riesling and now I am all about the Cabernet..which has become a big favorite of mine along with their Sweet Red/Zinfandel mix.

Now along with Barefoot I have come to really enjoy the Tisdale brand..

They are actually a house brand of Kroger! Go figure..However they are a California wine..I got hip at a tasting..Kroger has 3 brands...from pricey to cheap this is their cheap brand but OMG soooo TASTY! Now obviously with the holidays everyone is having parties and you are trying to decide on a good signature drink..For me those 2 wine options would definitely be on top..However I always am open to throwing in another fave my Menage a Trois Red Blend.

So their are a couple of options for you and opinions of mine..Other than that life is good..It's the Holidays and love is in the air and work is slow but hey that's what happens in December right!..So Happy Holidays to all..I will try and be back b-4 the New Year but I really don't know if that will be..
